These feelings I have ~ They do me no good /

Yet still I allowed ~ My heart to attach /
Itself to your world ~ Now there's no turning back /
I guess it's too late ~ Because I can't control /
The yurning for you ~ That lies in my soul /
A glutten for punishment ~ I guess that I am /

We're in two different places ~ And you don't feel the same /
We'll forever be friends ~ But inside I feel pain /
Because I can not be ~ The person you want /
I know this ~ Yet still ~ These feelings - they haunt /
My thoughts while awake ~ My dreams while I sleep /
I'm in over my head ~ I've been knocked off my feet /
How can I seek peace ~ When I'm tormented inside /
It's hard to stand tall ~ When all I want to do is cry /

The Fray - A Verse Of Concern

Feel the push ~ As it flows through your veigns /
You think that it ~ Can take away the pain /
Like the calm ~ After the rain /
But this way of life ~ You can't sustain /
The rush is all you ~ Talk about /
Something you cannot ~ Breathe without /
I wonder ~ Do you have no doubts /
Or respect for those ~ Who care about /
The things you do ~ With no regard /
You push that shit ~ Into your arm /
Well I've seen pleasure ~ Turn to harm /
Angels of death ~ Quickly swoop and swarm /
Into existance ~ Every day /
And leave mournful souls ~ For loved ones swept away /
So if not for you ~ For me please stay /
You can't continue to ~ Tear at the fray /

A Brief Introduction

Writing is something I love to do - not only to pass time, but also to express my feelings, opinions, ideas, and perspective on the world I see, and the world I'd like to see. For me, writing has a very therapeutic quality. I've found, that when things seem to be spiraling out of control, or there's no one to confide in, just jotting down whatever I'm feeling lets me gather my thoughts, and if nothing else, vent my emotions in a positive and creative way. You'll be able to find some of my poetry and lyrics, short stories, and from time to time, maybe even a little scatter-minded ranting listed on here. I encourage feedback, and look forward to hearing your thoughts on whatever the topic may be.
